On a mission..

Louise Callin, Founder & CEO

It all began with an idea….

Louise had a successful career in Financial Services Technology for nearly 30 years. The emotional strain of being a carer for her mum alongside a big day job was tough, and so she decided in Autumn 2024 to leave corporate life and take a few weeks off to think about how to forge a new path.

It didn’t take long before the concept of ReelLife Conversations emerged, and then became too big to ignore - and so Louise took on the huge challenge of setting up the business, getting investors behind her, building and launching the product.

Her personal mission is to enhance conversations and interactions between people with dementia and their caregivers, friends and family by making reminiscing as easy as possible for all.

Heather M. Coughlin

Heather and Louise met on the job in 2023 and quickly forged a connection in the shared struggle to care for loved ones with dementia. Participating in caregiving from afar posed Heather a unique challenge and heartbreak.

Fast forward, Heather is proud to serve as a strategic advisor to ReelLife Conversations, where she assists with go-to-market strategy, applying her 25 years of experience in start-ups to multinationals focused on solutions in financial services, consumer healthcare, digital health, and employer benefits. 

She holds an MBA from Yale and an undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University, but is most proud of her roles as mother, wife, and daughter.

Dr. Phil Joddrell

Phil Joddrell is a Research Fellow at Dementia UK, and also at the University of Sheffield in the Centre for Assistive Technology and Connected Healthcare (CATCH).

Phil has over 15 years’ experience working with people living with dementia in both clinical and research environments. His PhD research focused on the digital accessibility of everyday technologies for people with dementia.

Phil and Louise met during the early stages of design of ReelLife Conversations, and it quickly became obvious that his skills and background would be a huge asset to the team. RLC are very grateful to have Phil serve as their Scientific Advisor.
